In the year, up to and including July 2020, there have been more than 19 billion data breaches, with key sectors attacked in July being healthcare and health science, education, tech and media.

June saw Avon’s UK website attacked and taken offline. In May, EasyJet had 9m records breached. But it’s not just the big boys. 88% of UK businesses have experienced breaches in the last 12 months. And still the cyber insurance message does not seem to be getting through.

We are on a quest to do something about this. We have commissioned our own research, to assess how lockdown may have affected cybersecurity but to also find out how the average Charlie, in or outside of his chocolate factory, knows about cybercrime and how it ticks.
